Research Exchange Groups
To engage with our community and to build research capacity in the province, the Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Applied Health Research has established a program of Research Exchange Groups that bring together university researchers, health professionals, decision makers, community groups, and members of the public who share a common interest under the domain of applied health research. All are welcome to join and the meetings are accessible to out-of-town guests by webinar/teleconference.
Our Research Exchange Groups meet regularly to discuss research in progress, to hold seminars, to present on research projects or healthcare services, to initiate collaborative partnerships, and to discover potential funding and partnership opportunities for further research.
You are welcome to join any group that interests you from among the active groups listed along the left margin. We are also actively recruiting members for the following new groups which are now in the planning stages:
- Cost and Value in NL Healthcare
- Community Health & Employment
- Technology and Health
- Health and the Built Environment
- Thrombosis, Blood, and Immune Disorders
Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to join one of these groups or join an existing Research Exchange Group (these are listed to the left).
NLCAHR hosts a speakers' series, Research Talks, that brings visiting lecturers to Memorial University to highlight the research being undertaken by our various Research Exchange Groups.
