Notice of Cancellation: 2013 NLCAHR Awards Program
NLCAHR is sorry to announce that a significant budget reduction obliges us to cancel this year's annual awards competition. An announcement about future competitions will be made in the fall. We deeply regret the inconvenience that this change will pose to prospective applicants. Please note that the graduate students who received multi-year fellowships in last year's competition will continue to be funded. We will also continue to administer two external funding competitions-- the NL Healthy Aging Research Program and the Enhancng Health Care in NL Program. Please see details below.
NL-HARP and EHC
NLCAHR administers two external funding competitions—the NL Healthy Aging Research Program and the Enhancing Health Care in NL program.
The terms, application procedures, and deadlines vary for each type of award. Applicants are advised to pay special attention to the description of the program or programs to which they are applying.
Funding for NLCAHR and its awards programs is provided through an annual grant from the province’s Department of Health and Community Services (DHCS). The amount of awards funding that is offered in a given year is determined by the Board of NLCAHR based on availability of funds.
NLCAHR reserves the right to amend or cancel any or all awards competitions in any given year should the amount of funding available be insufficient. NLCAHR also reserves the right to change the allocation of available funds among its various programs, from year to year, depending on the number and quality of applications.
