Fellowships were awarded in two categories this year: Master’s Fellowships and Doctoral Fellowships. We will announce the recipients of Development Grants and Project Grants in Fall 2012. The NLCAHR Fellowships Program funds graduate students enrolled in, or applying to graduate programs at Memorial University. Each NLCAHR Fellowship is funded on the basis of a partnership between the Centre and Memorial University’s School of Graduate Studies. This year, we received a total of sixteen fellowship applications, eleven from Master’s students and five from Doctoral candidates. In its assessment of these applications, the Peer Review Committee was impressed by the overall quality and diversity of research being conducted by graduate students at Memorial. The Centre would like to thank the five members of our Peer Review Committee for their contribution to the peer review process that is so essential to the fair and effective functioning of our awards programs. NLCAHR would also like to thank all students who submitted applications this year and to congratulate all recipients of fellowships under the 2012 NLCAHR Annual Awards Program. | ||
